With more than 15 years experience in local government and over 20 in community development, Deb understands the needs of local government, businesses and communities.
Deb has a Bachelor of Social Sciences (Youth Work), a Diploma and a Graduate Certificate in Management. She is a graduate and Fellow of Leadership WA, a Fellow of LG Professionals Australia (WA), and a member of IAP2 Australasia. In 2012 she was named one of Australia’s “100 Women of Influence” primarily for her innovative work in regional and rural areas.
Having worked in senior management and executive roles in urban, rural and remote locations she understands the diverse needs of different organisations and communities.
Along with a suite of corporate documents, such as feasibility studies, community plans, strategic plans, youth, disability, engagement and other strategies, she is also a highly successful grant and submission writer.
In addition to her skill working with Aboriginal communities and with event and program management, Deb is a highly experienced trainer and facilitator delivering fun, entertaining and very productive community engagement sessions.
